One morning on my drive to work I heard a this story on NPR about the throat singing of Gyuto Monks. The speakers do a good job of capturing the awe and inspiration I heard when listening to the Huun-Huur-Tu concert here a few years ago.A few months ago, a member of our Board told us about TED.com, (in their words) "a small nonprofit devoted to Ideas Worth Spreading. It started out as a conference bringing together people from three worlds: Technology, Entertainment, Design. Since then its scope has become ever broader." On their site, I stumbled on a video of Natalie MacMaster and Donnell Leahy in concert in 2003, when they were newlyweds. It's long (nearly 19 minutes) but the best part is at the end: Natalie on piano and Donnell blazing through a fiddle tune. The spectrum of entertainment covered on TED is diverse and engaging. Thanks for the tip Reiff!
